When you purchase a home, there are a ton of different things that you need to think about, however home insurance is probably last on your list. Home insurance is confusing too – I know when I got it, I truly had no idea what it was doing for me and what it was protecting.
Well, home insurance actually protects your home from damage and theft – as well as a whole slew of things. For example, fire and lightning, windstorm and hail, weight of ice or snow, falling objects, freezing damage, vandalism, accidental from plumbing, damage by vehicles – based on the policy of course.
This is why reading your home insurance policy is so, so, so important, that way you truly do know exactly what is covered.
